One of the premiere woodwind specialists in Houston, Eric Ruyle can be found in a wide variety of genres:  Salsa to Symphony, Rock to sacred services, Jazz to Broadway. Clarinet, bass clarinet, flute, piccolo, and all the saxophones are the tools with which he has entertained audiences throughout North America


He has worked with international artists such as David Sanborn, Mindy Abair, Molly Ringwald, Diane Shuur, Bernadette Peters, John Pizzarelli, Paquito D’Rivera, Rita Coolidge, and Johnny Mathis to name just a few.


Exploring new ventures, he has turned his talents to electro-acoustic. Using Ableton Live, Push 2, Akai EWI, and other electronic equipment in conjunction with the woodwinds, he reinvents the classical repertoire: Middle Eastern infused Bach, Latin Brahms, Haunting Mozart, Digitizing Penderecki. Whether layering a single instrument, combining several instruments, or creating new sounds through effects Eric creates contemporary chamber for the modern musical age.
